Have you ever had someone make a commitment they can’t keep? Well, you’re not alone.
For this month’s customer project spotlight we’re looking at how we were able to succeed where others could not, and re-launch a customer’s website with all the features it needed.
Colly Brook Fine Furnishings first launched their website on e64’s eCommerce platform, eSPOSURE, back in the summer of 2010 (not quite as catchy as Bryan Adams’ version), and they decided it was time for a site refresh.
Although quite happy with e64, they wanted to try a new web developer who was local to them, and also a member of the same business networking group they went to, so asked this developer to take a look at launching their new site. After some time it became apparent that they were not able to create a site with all the features Colly Brook needed, nor could the developers customise that system for those features to be added.
As such we were asked if we would be happy to pick up the project, refresh and re-launch the site on an upgraded version of the eSPOSURE platform; naturally we were delighted to be able to continue working with Colly Brook.
We listened to the requirements and changes they wanted, especially those tricky bits that the other web designers couldn’t achieve, and we were able to customise our platform to meet these requirements and their new site launched a few months ago.
Colly Brook Fine Furnishings is a fantastic online supplier of curtain and blind making components, poles, trimmings and fabrics, who also offer a bespoke made to measure service, and the owner passes on her knowledge in the form of one day workshops in making your own curtains, blinds and other soft furnishings items.
We brought the site right up to date, making it mobile responsive, which as you will know is now a fundamental must have for any website. We added larger panel-style menus offering the visitor easy access to all the products categories in the site, without taking up valuable space within the site itself.
We also changed the way a customer buys a product and chooses postage with an interactive basket, allowing customers to edit quantities and variations in the basket, making last minute updates and see the exact postage costs all before progressing through to the checkout pages.
